Oh it’s all a bit deja vu! In order to get these advent calendars definitely done for Christmas, I have started them now- it’s the arrival of baby 2 in June that will set back the Cold Comfort Crafts factory! So although I should really be posting pictures of Easter eggs and bunnies, I thought I should let you all know what I’ve been up to and share a few pictures of what I’ve achieved so far. I’m making 5 advent calendars this year, 4 to sell at Christmas time -possibly at a craft fair- and one commissioned last year. So that means 120 decorations, and I’ve done 60 so far, so I’m half way there!
I have, for the most part, kept to the designs from last time, as I have all the templates and worked out most of the problems I had before!
There are a couple of decorations that were too time or labour-intensive so they will be replaced, and I decided to make a purple party ring biscuit as well as the pink one as you don’t eat just one party ring biscuit, do you. Well admittedly the last time I ate a party ring was when I was about 8 but i remember them most fondly! Here they all are on a plate, looking yummy (for felt).
Following on from my woodland-themed bedroom post a few days ago, Sol’s room has at last been decorated! There are no new owl lamps or tree prints, sadly, but I think his new green room has great scope for woodland embellishments and it is certainly better than the peeling lilac paper the poor chap had before. He told me his room is now ‘beautitiful’ so he seems pleased. Here he is in action, delighted at being allowed to peel the paper from the wall:
Painting (which lasted about 15 minutes):
And all calm and green, and tidy!
I’ll post a few photos of the advent calendar fabrics soon, as they are really lovely. I needed some gorgeous ones to spur me into Christmassy action!

It looks lovely! x
