All finished -minus mast, actually- and marked out for quilting. I’ve gone for some highly decorative and closely spaced quilting to make up for the lack of printed fabric.
I’ve also ordered some metallic and variegated threads so we’ll see what they look like! Also ticked off the list is the backing fabric. I really liked the idea of a muted tartan (the baby is Scottish after all!) but couldn’t find what I was looking for in cotton, only wool. So I found this in my local fabric shop -The Sew Room- which has a burgeoning collection of really very tempting fabrics.
I think it ties in nicely. Basting is tonight’s job, (aided by a glass of red wine of course! Basting is a dull job!)

Coming to life beautifully Sash! X

Thanks everyone… now for the sloooow bit
Looks brilliant Sash, love the backing fabric! Good luck with all those tiny stitches xx x
