A rather fanciful title I do admit but ‘I Have Now Appliquéd the Red Swallow’ was, I felt, a bit dry. It is quite frustrating that what is really only a few hours’ work is taking so long, but this is my morning:
Need to leave the house. Get self dressed. Get mouthy toddler downstairs (no mean feat). Persuade toddler that shoes are quite important. As are trousers. Go and get baby from middle of bed upstairs. Baby has pooed. Changing stuff is upstairs. Go and get toddler, now ferreting around in the door frame catching beetles. Yuck. Heave toddler upstairs. Change baby. Need vest. Vests are downstairs. Bus is imminent. ETC! Not a lot of time to go to the loo (certainly not on my own, what luxury), let alone sew, knit and felt all the things I want to do! That wool in the shed awaiting felting is just haunting me, and friends are having babies at a rate with which my crafting cannot keep up!
But on the plus side the swallows are coming along. One down, three to go- and the wings have all been pieced so it’s just a matter of appliquéing them all on, along with a banner which I think I might embroider. Ah… so many plans!
