I can’t quite believe it but Solomon is three. I am not yet brave enough to launch a full-scale children’s party (my grandmother was recounting to me tonight of a little cake-loving friend of my uncle’s who would reliably be sick at every party he attended) but Sol had a some toddler friends round for a few hours on Tuesday.
It’s testament to my skewed sense of priority that I made party bags for the toddler guests- I assure you I do have more pressing things to do, but it was easy, fun and satisfying! When faced with what seems like acres and acres of quilting, a project that took only a few minutes was great. Essentially a strip of fabric, I folded a bit of ribbon in half and sewed the fold into the seam.
I cut the fabric with pinking shears so didn’t even have to hem the top. Four happy guests I hope; Sol certainly enjoyed his day.
