Faced with a couple of hours to myself (well, to myself and Otis, we sort of come as a unit) on Wednesday, I decided to take a trip up to The Wool Shed in Oyne. I had been before for my beginners knitting course, and have a particular project in mind. I just couldn’t wait to get my hands on all that lovely yarn and squash it lots… I was not disappointed. I and several other awe-struck knitters (the shop is rather out on a limb, so customers have to make something of a pilgrimage) milled around the treasures on offer and I am excited to say I even made a purchase: lots and lots of merino yarn in this silvery grey shade:
as well as the needles, stitch markers (I dunno, the pattern says I need them) and a knitter’s needle. I think a knitting project can co-exist alongside a quilting one, can’t it?!
